@nicole that’s one hell of a setup! I was about to ask what keyboard you use and then noticed the gear list 🙌🏾How would you compare your experience with Nix Plum Atom 68 and the Keychron K6?

@hasanhaja I much prefer the Nix Plum Atom 68, full stop. It's a dream to type on -- it's not technically mechanical (it's electro-capacitive) but that makes it so, so much better IMO. I do have the K6 in my other desk, but if I'm being honest, it's more because I work on the k6.io team and many of us use the K6 keyboard. 😅

@nicole And here I was feeling like I needed to straighten out my desk on a Tuesday night. Still working so alas, still need them, but feeling like I’m drowning in paper bits that need to be processed.

@nicole it surprises me when I see how high people put their monitors. I know I only have mine low because of #kyphosis though. My primary monitor is typically as low as it will go. The one “above” my laptop is my least-used.

@astrophoenix That's a lot of screens! My monitor maybe only seems high relative to the table, which is down at its lowest (I'm pretty short). I see that Keychron over there!

@nicole I did wonder if that was a coincidence 😂I’m relatively new to the custom mechanical keyboard world, so I don’t have my lingo down yet. How would you describe the typing feel? Creamy? Thocky? Do the rubber dome switches feel like membrane keyboards at all?

@nicole We moved to a small apartment where I have no space for a desk, so I use the kitchen table. But I’m planning to move to a bigger house where I could carve out a me-corner. :)

@hasanhaja I've actually answered a support question about K6 the keyboard sent to k6 the load testing tool! I got a kick out of it.Hmmm... it's very little resistance compared to other keyboards I've tried. I don't know if you like that. It's like typing on a cloud, and it's so light to type on that I feel like I just have to think something and I've already typed it. Surreal feeling.

@nicole oh that’s funny!Ah cool! That sounds quite nice actually I’ve not tried something that light before. I went from MX browns (55g) to Glorious Pandas (67g), but I’m curious how I’d like lighter switches. I do get a kick out of the heavy switches though. Makes typing feel very deliberate and I find it akin to writing on paper if that makes any sense 😅

@nicole @leah Cool desk setups! Mine is deceptively tidy because it's so tiny. I keep my mess in various clumps around the place instead, with one basket I carry about as I move from room to room to verandah, following the sun throughout the day.Isn't it interesting how different our work spaces are!
