       Could we set up a non-authenticated, turbo mesh Bluetooth (or WiFi?) network system (named channels? presets?) that works as a modern take on walkie-talkies? It's got to be fast to switch on, fast to transmit, and fast to receive.

       @blakeLora is a good option, and there are a few projects working on it, more for text than voice, but voice could be done as well.
