The first time I heard somebody say the manufacturer name “ASUS” out loud, they pronounced it “Ay-soos”. So I kind of just figured that’s how it was pronounced. Just realized that this same guy called deadmau5 “dead-mow-5” unironically. And now I’m doubting myself, and I’m wondering if I’ve been “that guy saying the word wrong” every time ASUS comes up in conversation. And I don’t want to search for the correct pronunciation because then DuckDuckGo will know my shame 😬

@tacoface To offer help that you didnt ask for... I think it comes from "pegasus", so it should be pronounced "Ah-sus"... I thinkSo long as it's not confused with "Acer" when pronounced I'm sure they'd be happy 😁

@paul I didn’t think about that! It makes sense on paper but when I say it out loud it sounds off 😂 Before I heard it out loud as “Ay-soos”, my mind interpreted jt as “Ay-sus”, which definitely is definitely closer to Pegasus haha
