@BrodieOnLinux You are certain to know much more about this than I do, but I am made quite nervous by the idea of Oracle - a company that used legal muscle to try to force the idea that APIs are subject to copyright and came close to succeeding - would play a central role in the use of Linux in the enterprise. I have a bad, bad feeling.

@BrodieOnLinux They are laser-focused on being 1:1 binary compatible with RHEL, so I'd say that RH will still play a major role regardless of what Oracle or SUSE agree on. Throwing away said compatibility is what RH wants, and I really doubt that, assuming this agreement between SUSE and Oracle happens, they will depart from RHEL that much. At best they'd set some guidelines that are effectively what RHEL does, and then do what RHEL does anyway.

@BrodieOnLinux I wish it will be System 76, who can offer tailored hardware and OS invidually for business and personal users.Not yet naturally, but Virgo laptop and immutable CosmicOS are both one step closer to be released.
