How many flights have you not taken in the last years out of concern for #ClimateChange?My intuition is that for the vast majority of us the answer is: zero đThatâs true for me, at least. (The last time I used a plane was almost five years ago, but in my case itâs just because I had no business trips or holidays overseas while my kids were very little.)Air #travel is one of the things I find most difficult to say no to for environmental reasons đ˘

@tripu how many flights I have not taken? Well about 853 million in 2022.How many because of climate change? I think all of them, since it is a reason I fly less.Money and time are other motivations though.#multiobjective #paretoprinciple #climatechange #airplanes #flight #pollution

@tripu I can't point to an individual flight I didn't take to reduce my impact on climate change.But, I can point to a total lifestyle change where rather than flying 100+ times a year, I fly maybe a handful of times in a year....

@tripu quite a few for me. I've vastly reduced travel, largely staying home. I won't even fly to compete in dance competitions.

@tripu isn't air travel around 5% of emissions? It's never even been on my mind to reduce it. Budget and time are my only restrictions for air travel. I've changed more in other areas, like going everywhere in my city by bike. I don't even take public transport.

@tripu yes, I was rounding up, and even then it's really minor. That's why I think more about other areas like commuting.
