       @Esquiretheduke I went with the 'casserole' approach: a little of everything.Paid email hosting.  Radicale for calendar/contacts.  Syncthing for file transfer.  Jellyfin for a media server.  TinyTinyRSS / Wallabag for feed aggregation.

       @Esquiretheduke I don't use it that much, but I've been running nextcloud for a few years, never had any performance issues. Then again I'm the sole user, and it runs on an older intel nuc with a fast SSD and slow usb attached disk to mirror the data

       @Esquiretheduke @martijn i do have one nextcloud for a shared calendar with my wife. Documents are only available locally because I dont want them over the web. And email I use iredmail.org
