       @twylo A few years ago I played an old video file I'd captured around 2004. The file was produced by a small prototype CMOS imager I'd worked on at the time (the 2x great grandparent of many mobile phone cameras today). The resolution was low, the image quality abysmal. I knew I still had the little stick camera in a box somewhere, so I dug it out, charged it up, and turned it on.A little puff of smoke came out. The LED went out.Such is life. I turned 60 a couple of months ago. I need to purge this stuff so nobody else has to deal with it.

       @twylo I think the right approach is to try to find/build/do things that create similar feelings (not exactly the same ones) to what you remember. Carry the good parts of the past forward; don't dwell on them. Your memories are rose-colored anyway.
