The "high quality weed" is (according to Wikipedia) called pursley. It's nothing short of miraculous in terms of survival in adverse conditions, the life cycle is just a few days to weeks. It's edible and tasty. Just the best weed, really

@piggo yup, looks like purslane. Used to volunteer in my garden around Chicago. We enjoyed it. Don't see it farther north.Do you plant it on purpose? Where do you get the seeds?

@bhaugen it grows wild in our community garden, some are from seeds I collected there. It will also grow by itself in any soil I bring from there - there's hundreds of seeds from every plant

@piggo is that purslane? Its the first thing to grow in my garden. Last year it was almost the only thing that grew!It tastes like a more spinachy spinach.

@piggo there's been another weed in my garden (which just consists of more than a dozen flower pots/planters of various sizes) that I've been pulling out.But this post made me think to check if it's edible as well. Turns out it totally is!I think you're in another part of the world, but you might be able to grow this Wood Sorrell too.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis_stricta

@frigginglorious we have this one too! It's so aggressive, it's easier to grow it than not 😅They're not as hardy though, longer drought kills them
