Is my #coffee hobby getting out of hand yet?I started with a Sage Barista Express bean-to-cup machine a few years ago however this year things have kicked up a notch.Each month I’ve added something and since Christmas I’ve added:☑️ a more precise scale (to measure beans to the decimal point)☑️ a little tea dish (to weigh the beans in)☑️ a portafilter funnel (to capture all the ground coffee)☑️ a naked portafilter (so I can see the pull and any channeling)☑️ a WDT tool (to distribute grounds in the portafilter)☑️ a rotating distributor and tamper combo (to prepare the puck of coffee)☑️ a little tamping mat (to tamp the coffee down on)☑️ a milk frother (for my daughter’s hot chocolates)I’ve recently bought some great coffee from @roastinghouse which comes in compostable bags and so in the last month I’ve added:☑️ two Fellow Atmos 0.7l vacuum containers (to protect the beans)☑️ a chalk pen (to label what’s in them)Still to get over the next three months:➡️ two more Fellow Atmos containers➡️ a single-dose bellows hopper for the Sage Barista (for space and to clear the grinder after each grind)➡️ a shelf (to put everything on!)All this just to make myself double espressos and Americanos. Sometimes I wish my friend never introduced me to James Hoffman’s YouTube channel! 😅#ADHD

@del @roastinghouse The short answer is No, I dont.I like the kit very much and I am a little envious.I think making good coffee is an art, however the bean makes so much difference.I like Old Brown Java or for a change the Ethiopian coffees,Sidamo, Yirgacheffe.I looked at a milk frother for guests, But wife says we have a blue kitchen and the frother would clash.Had me fooled !Please what is upper left background above the tiles ?Pigs ? Owls ?

@stannard @roastinghouse Aha. Thank you. One addition a month is how I got to where I’m at.On the wall is a little row of pig’s bottoms and tails shaped into hooks. We use them for keys and wha not (my coffee setup is near the back door).I think this might be them: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175776057535I’m not yet familiar enough with different coffees to know my favourites however I buy in small batches and haven’t come across one yet that I didn’t.Good luck sneaking in a coffee frother. It might have to live in a drawer if you can’t find a blue one!

@stannard @roastinghouse That eBay one is listed a few times however it looks like it might be a cheaper/simpler version. On ours the first pig is larger, mummy pig I guess. She has her head turned back and is looking at whoever is hanging up their keys. 🐷

@del @roastinghouse Thanks for the info.The pigs look nice, As for the frother, I mainly drink espresso, The rare exception is the odd machiato , So I can live with the little steam wand attached to my cheap and cheerful machine.
