#photo #Idaho #LandscapePhotography Taken on July 5, 2023, in southwestern #Idaho at coordinates 43.079976, -115.506242. I've always called this reservoir Hot Creek Reservoir but in recent years it hasn't been much of a reservoir. This is an agricultural reservoir so the water would be rather undesirable for domestic water use. In the background those are the Bennett Hills and Bennett Mountain on the second ridge line.

@TimBondy Sometimes there are good birds in that reservoir. I wonder if the plan to pipe water from Anderson Ranch Reservoir to Mountain Home involves this reservoir.

@IdahoLark The Hot Creek/Hot Springs Reservoir probably isn't the place to hold it. The Mtn Home Reservoir already has an inlet from Little Camas and Long Tom Reservoirs. At least that is my understanding.BTW, are you in Elmore County? In any case, it's good to see an Idaho member of Mastodon.

@TimBondy I'm in Boise. I've found about a dozen other locals on here and am finally over my dismay at how many other Twitter peeps are sticking it out on that site (though many seem to be trying Threads now).
