@slashdot In some locals they'd be open to making everyone, except "their kind" work 6 days a week. And two of those days would be unpaid.

#photo #Idaho #LandscapePhotography Taken on July 5, 2023, in southwestern #Idaho at coordinates 43.079976, -115.506242. I've always called this reservoir Hot Creek Reservoir but in recent years it hasn't been much of a reservoir. This is an agricultural reservoir so the water would be rather undesirable for domestic water use. In the background those are the Bennett Hills and Bennett Mountain on the second ridge line.

@IdahoLark The Hot Creek/Hot Springs Reservoir probably isn't the place to hold it. The Mtn Home Reservoir already has an inlet from Little Camas and Long Tom Reservoirs. At least that is my understanding.BTW, are you in Elmore County? In any case, it's good to see an Idaho member of Mastodon.

@IdahoLark Nice photo. Also I'm not a big fan of those creatures.Since moving to #Idaho in 2007, I've been told that rattlesnakes are all over the place in the back country. But in my experience, I haven't seen a lot of them and many of those hikes were off-trail. Here is a link to the hikes I've taken and I've encountered less than 15 rattle snakes in all my time hiking in Idaho.https://bondyweb.com/adventure-maps/

@IdahoLark Cool rock you found there!I find anywhere along the Owyhee Front is an outstanding place to find cool rocks. I was into that hobby for a long time and then I noticed the ton of cool rock I was storing. I got rid of the VAST majority of them. Now I limit rocks to a total of 6 and they must fit in my front pocket of my shorts. And then I discard the 5 less desirable rock when I get home.

@IdahoLark I can tell you where to find a lot of obsidian in billiard ball and smaller sized chucks are just sitting on the ground waiting for you. It would take about 10 minutes to dig up the map.

@IdahoLark It's about 6 miles in on a dirt/dusty road called Spivey Road south or Oreana, Idaho. I believe I dropped a pin on this map of the approximate location. https://goo.gl/maps/PNSg5hZpzwL2fDjdA

#Twitter #X This Twitter rebranding thing is rather confusing to me.We shouldn't call Twitter, Twitter but instead refer to it as X, right? And instead of tweeting, users of that platform will be "X'ing?" In order to get into that spirit of inclusion and shit, I'll just accept the idea that I don't have an X account and I suppose I never will. So, I won't be tweeting nor Xing in the future.Maybe #Xlon #Xusk can publicly explain this whole thing to clarify it?

@slashdot In Texas, the only thing that matters in the US Constitution seems to be the 2nd Amendment. The rest of that document is toilet paper if their actions/behavior are any indication.

@IdahoLark I don't know if you've talked much with highly conservative people in Idaho, But ...I've talked with 5 blue-collar MAGA Republicans and they aren't worried about medical care. Why? Because they are relatively young, don't have insurance and believe they will never get hurt or sick before they get rich. FYI: One of them said he has had a bad back that interfered with work quite often but he'll work thru the pain until he's RICH. That's why Min Wage is still $7.25 in Idaho?

@lowqualityfacts Come on, man ... the only way this happens is if the forest floor is raked properly during that 8-month period.
