My departure from Firefox has come to an end... again. Being stuck with the T43 for the past few days, with only 2GB memory, has made me appreciate the fact that browsers like #SeaMonkey and #Firefox exist. I always end up coming back, I just need to see what else is out there every now and then. lol#Vivaldi is a great browser, I still stand by that, but Firefox is home. Feels good to be back.

@idle_automaton As someone whose always looking for the best browser, but unwilling to change very often, what's your opinion on Edge vs Firefox? I've been on Edge for awhile now and it's pretty good! People knock it cause Internet Explorer, but it's not IE at all.

@BeAware I don't like Edge for the same reasons I don't like Chrome (specifically Google Chrome, here). I don't trust the companies that run them. For me, its as simple as that.Is Edge a good browser? Yeah, seems like it works fairly well. But I personally don't see any benefit in using it over other options. Vivaldi or Brave seem like the best options, imo, if you just have to have chrome and want any sort of effort put into protecting your identity and data.

@idle_automaton I just enjoy the extension cross support. That's my biggest thing. It has to have an expansive extension library and will switch to any non memory hogging browser that has this.

@BeAware @idle_automaton Brave and (I'm pretty sure) Vivaldi are both chromium-based browsers just like edge. This means that they can use all the same extensions. When I use brave, I get my extensions from the chrome web store but I'm sure you can install them from other places as well.

@tkk13909 @idle_automaton thank you! Will install tonight and check it out. Is memory usage comparable with each other?

@BeAware @idle_automaton As far as I'm aware. It's probably significantly less than edge because of the lack of Microsoft trackers and other crap like that. The only problem with brave is the crypto stuff but that's easy to ignore/disable

@tkk13909 @idle_automaton okay cool. also, depends on if its sketchy #crypto stuff or legit crypto stuff. #Ethereum is great and i follow it, but it's the only one besides #bitcoin, most new startups are #scams

@BeAware @tkk13909 @idle_automaton Monero is better than both of them. It is private by default and widely used for payments on free markets.

@nosat for sure! But for profitability and widely known, monero has a limit I believe because of the stigma that people do lots of bad things with it.🤷🏻♂️so strictly in terms of profitability and chance for growth, Bitcoin and Ethereum outshine monero I think. But that's just my opinion right now
