@wjmaggos @MastodonEngineering I'm worried that this will pretty much kill the ability to be able to link to problematic/bad behavior posts as evidence for moderation.If people can just stop you from linking to their bad behavior post, crowdsourced moderation will have to rely on "trust me bro" and screenshots.😬

@stux unfortunately it's not if people can't find what they're looking for here.Discoverability is abysmal and will continue to be so as long as we still have groups of people harassing developers that build discovery tools.It's the reason why the Bluesky bridge is basically useless if you're trying to get someone to bridge that hasn't bridged yet.Theres been multiple tools over the years that I've watched devs get harassed and threatened into shutting down their projects or making them basically unusable because people don't understand that this is a public and open protocol.

@david @puppygirlhornypost2 well, to be honest, which "bots" DO respect that?I always thought it was pointless because I didn't think bots were able to just parse bio info like that, could be wrong though.But yeah...they could have been quite a bit nicer. That's the issue with most of these interactions, they lead to vitriol and harassment, sometimes on a wide scale.
