       @flexghost Zuck got all our data as we went all in when Facebook started.Birthday, work history, schools, we all trusted him, blindly.I'm still on FB, but it took me 5 hours to clear my data as they don't make it easy. Never again, at least NOT with accurate data they can profit from.

       @flexghost They have zero accountability and no moderation. They platformed genocide, insurrection planning, white supremacists, bigotry, antisemitism, misogyny, and my MAGA relatives. To put the cherry on the sundae, they made a ton of money doing this. They have every intention of making a ton of money doing this and I think they should fix Facebook before they start marching for profit on the backs of a new group of people.

       @flexghost No, if it does federate then I don't see what it brings over Mastodon. If it doesn't then it's another walled garden. Mainly I don't think there's much downside, just a lack of upside. Maybe the UI is nice but I prefer Mastodons approach to organic discovery vs algorithms & monetization.
