       Have to say I will definitely try #threads and will definitely see if I can follow people there from Mastodon. I know it’s contentious but outright banning that server from our instance seems over the top. I know a lot of people on Instagram who never in a million years would try Mastodon. I’d like to connect with them though and it would feel weird to shut them out.

       @tommertron @tchambers Do I like Zuck? No. Do I like my family, friends and colleagues? Yes. Blocking Threads doesn’t prevent Zuck from harvesting my data, it prevents me from keeping in touch with the people I want to connect with.

       @codybrom @tommertron @tchambers I've been teaching my friends/family how to use Email to keep in touch; it's the most successful, federated, decentralised, completely open internet messaging protocol ever and it's been built into practically everything on the internet for decades.
