       A superb article on the dangers of #meta joining the fediverse, articulated with precedents of #Google and #Microsoft destroying open protocols.It's another manifestation of the 'mega instance' scenario where corporate interests poison the #fediverse with a huge server which ends up being another #twitter or #facebook clone.Perhaps there should be a limit on instance size (including a blocker on large entities owning more than 1 instance)?cc @osma @whatshisays https://ploum.net/2023-06-23-how-to-kill-decentralised-networks.html
