Did you know that you can disable repository units inside your repo settings?Don't you use a wiki? No need for releases? Save your guests some time to click through the tabs by disabling the units. Now you can even disable access to code, ideal for clean meta repositories with issue tracking - users will immediately land there.

@Codeberg nice. this is a good feature on the git hub that you can disable unnecessary features.

@Codeberg I'm curious if this provides (or might provide) any noticeable improvement in resource usage for your servers?I guess I could test this on my personal forgejo but I'm obviously not at Codebergs scale with only ~50 repos and a couple orgs

@ascott @Codeberg Looks like a cosmetic "if-then", so I don't expect much difference. Certainly good for UX, though! 😉

@vintprox @ascott Agreed, I doubt it will change much. Maybe some crawlers will crawl less because there are less empty pages linked.

@Codeberg The “clean meta-repos for issue tracking” feature is exclusively used by closed-source projects on GitHub.Do we really want that in a FOSS forge?

@ankitpati Since our Terms of Use only allow Free Software projects, this use is obviously not welcome here.Still, there are many FLOSS projects with many components, and end users might be confused about where to report it. Having a generic issue tracker to sort and triage reports prior to forwarding them to the development trackers with less noise might help especially larger distributed projects.
