       @georgelakoff so I'm supposed to listen to you about who I should not listen to? I recognize that there are mental traps people can use against us, but please just educate the public about them and ask us to use those critical media consumption tools. in a liberal democracy, we should not get in the habit of picking and choosing which exchanges of ideas are considered unsafe.

       @incitatus @georgelakoff we agree about those of bad faith, but that can be hard to judge. listening is good but smart conversation is better. when I listen, rebuttals form in my head and I assume they are wise. better to have myself disabused of most of those notions and have a few of them strengthened in battle.
