Anyone with knowledge on washing machines and dryers who can help me figure out what I should know to make a good purchase?Firstly, are combined washing and drying a good idea or are there any significant downsides to it that I should be aware of?What should I look for with regard to longevity and repairability? What pricepoint should I aim for where you get good quality?Brands to avoid or brands that tend to make good stuff?:boosts_ok: boosts appreciated

@reina I have an LG washer / LG dryer (two units) that I really like. I've never tried one of the all-in-one types, but I think they're more common in Europe. I'm in the US.

@ScottSoCal @reina agree LG is now the best brand to get. Avoid the all in one units unless no other option because of space. They often take a really long time to dry clothes. Stacked units are fine if space is an issue.
