       If you’re for some reason happy at the loss of life that occurred in the Titan Submersible, you can just fuck off. Dehumanizing people makes you just as bad as they are. Rise above that shit if you expect anything to be done for the betterment of the world. It’s literally the same thing as profiling on race, or gender, or sexuality.I take comfort myself that at least they did not suffer, and I feel bad for their families. Cuz ya know.        It's hard for me to find pity for people paying an amount that other people will never accumulate in their entire life to enter an obvious death trap disguised as an legit effort to do science, but that's more on OceanGate than the people being inside that.I 100% agree with your post and started reflecting on my views in regards to absurd deaths.tbh i wished I never heard of this happening in the first place.

       @mario By what I’ve been able to find, in the bit of digging I found, all were at least attached to ocean research/conservation in some respect. https://people.com/missing-titanic-submarine-all-about-the-passengers-7550485 It may have been a bit of a joyride to see the Titanic, may have cost more than I’ll make in my life, and they may be rich assholes even, I don’t know… but they had families, lives, etc. The latter part is the main point I’m trying to make with the opening post.

       Tbh if what OceanGate did can be considered science should be another debate out of respect for the victims, sorry that I bought it up.The deaths are tragic and could have been avoided and I think the best we can do for everyone involved is to let them grief without world wide broadcasts about it.Although I hope that companies like OceanGate will be better regularized as a consequence of it.
