@stux pardon my ignorance, however i was attempting to follow some magazines from kbin on here, yet i read a notice on a kbin FAQ that content from the magazine only appears if individual user accounts in the magazine are followed... or am i misunderstanding?

@stux If you tag kbin magazines(kbin communities) like that in a mastodon post, it shows up as a post in the microblog section for the magazine!

@stux did you stop Registrations there?Tried creating a Username (using Vivaldi Browser) and the Login button seems stuck on a "Loading" graphic for me.

@stux sorry for probably stupid question but how does this cross posting work? can I log in with my mastodon credentials to other fediverse services or do I have to create a separate account per service and somehow link it to my mastodon account ?

@b0gste @stux Same for me. I tried to sign up but the form never completely submitted. I tried logging in thinking maybe it went through but didn't show me, and the login form wouldn't submit either. Spins forever. (Firefox if it matters)

@jimp @b0gste Yeah there are some issues with Lemmy returning error messages to the front end.. That will be fixed in 0.18 if im right! Much better or no web sockets anymoreBut..in case, i think the problem might be a wrong captcha (happened to me often) since it's case sensitive etc

@stux @random thank you for your fast reply! Ok i think I got it. So every group is like a subreddit which has a unique fediverse url and I can follow or participate in conversations by mentioning the group or probably also by just commenting on posts there ?

@stux @jimp you may be right -- the Captcha is the problem somehow, but perhaps not how you think about it.Looking at the requests, every Captcha loading seems doubled.Could you double-check the Sign-up Page where the JavaScript Code (i.e., <script></script> bits) related to Captcha is located such that it is not doubled by mistake when you guys added it?

@stux @jimp these guys at https://infosec.pub/signup seem to have the same problem, but looks like they removed/commented out the Captcha Code snippets altogether from the Sign-up Form, probably because of that Request-doubling behaviour.I was able to Sign-up nps, if there was no Captcha.

@stuxit’s not working for meI can’t see any posts from any of the above accounts using either Ivory or Tootthe first two links (geddit and news) oddly open up a mobile web browser where I can see that there are many posts, but from Mastodon proper (inside my mobile apps and from inside my home masto instance’s web interface) I can allegedly follow but still see no posts — not sure if this is deliberate or glitchy or whateg meow claims 12 posts but none appear in its list of posts
