       this reddit migration into the fediverse sure is at a weird time, things felt very chill here quite recently since the last big migration from twitter died down and now this meta thing is happening and it feels like there are fireworks going off around the fediverse

       @liaizon I feel a bit lost in all this mess. Torn between: this i s great, a lot of ppl will join the fediverse and the fear of losing a moderately safe space to a big corp. The first is from a priviledged users perspective imho, the second from bipoc, queer and other communities at risk as well as developers. We should have some possibility to openly discuss the situation.

       @liaizon ALL MASTODON PUBLIC POSTS GET COPIED TO GOOGLE SEARCH (SCRAPED / HARVESTED MASTODON).Just FYI as I didn't know and would have wanted.And I have a poll asking people if Mastodon or servers should make effort to at least put a NO SCRAPING notice for big corps so you don't see your posts in search engines!! Kinda the main reason we use Madtodon (And if you're fine with these practices by corporations then ok then do nothing).
