       @RadicalEdward Exactly, seems like an obvious play to make dipshits feel special because the big kids want to hang out.Meta could reveal nothing of value, or say "oh yeah, we're running an EEE play, starting with calling our service MastodonHub to blur the lines of what is and isn't a facebook feature."Either way, they can use threats related to the NDA to silence people who try to sound the alarm later, based on other information or their own later behavior.

       @unlofl @RadicalEdward yep, the fact that its happening, alone, is causing me to consider getting off of Mastodon, and onto other fedi software, much more seriously than I have before.  If they're going to collaborate with Meta, I want fucking nothing to do with them or their product

       @fcktheworld587 @RadicalEdward We have to be ready to burn this motherfucker to the ground before it becomes an extension of facebook.Facebook is bigger. They will gradually creep up towards a big all-in bet to make us fold, because "well, its annoying they changed their API and publicly blamed us for the breakage, but we have to think of all those users..."No we don't, meta users are not part of our community and don't count, and meta can't be allowed to use them as leverage.
