       @ParadeGrotesque Yes, I was pleasantly surprised. The description of the book at the library site didn’t really capture the feel. I’m glad I tried it anyway. I’ve already decided I’m going to read the whole series.

       @aiBlanket Fair warning - the 2nd book in the series (Harrow the Ninth) is ... even weirder than Gideon.And I mean this in the best possible way, of course, but we are talking cosmic horror on an enormous scale.Right now, I am waiting for the 4th book, and it cannot come soon enough.
