@Linux_in_a_Bit #FitTrackee looks promising, #ActivityPub is on the roadmap, getting data to it will be a bit of a pain without a dedicated app though.

@Linux_in_a_Bit For cycling or for running? For running, Smashrun is a fantastic alternative to Strava. Not federated, but it’s run by three really great people.

@lucas Maybe... haven't found a F/LOSS one though.I've just been using OpenTracks off of F-Droid, but that doesn't have the social bit ofc.

@confusedbunny Thanks!I can kindof do that with my current workflow of OpenTracks + Organic Maps, but it's not the greatest. It still seems to misss the social bit tho :/

@Linux_in_a_Bit I'll have to have a look at OpenTracks, I'm just using Strava as an odometer / timer for my daily trip to work and back, and none of the social parts

@lucas On Google Play it costs money, but I think it's basically there to be a donation of sorts...Not sure about IOS though.

@Linux_in_a_Bit It'd be nice if it wasn't pay-to-play up front, it's probably why I've ended up with Strava. (I don't pay for strava, they gave me a month for free, it gave me some extra stats and nothing else I'd use)My finger is way off the pulse of android things, it's probably time to look at f-droid

@lucas It's pretty simple, though I do recommend https://github.com/NeoApplications/Neo-Store/releases/tag/0.9.15 instead of the main client because it doesn't waste a ton of storage and is nicer to use imo.

@lucas Just scroll down past the "Download F-Droid" button and click "Download APK" on the newest one and install it.

@tulpa @lucas It's a fork of the same thing droid-ify is forked from and it a few more features and I just like it better...idk.
