@BrodieOnLinux DNA is a bit of a weird one because you can expose everyone out to about your 3rd cousins, but otherwise I agree with that take.

"At a certain point, employees will start to feel as though they are employed in a high-tech gulag if they realize they are constantly monitored and required to check in randomly. Many corporate executives are well aware of this and struggle with where to draw the line.... it's going to be a struggle for years to come." - https://www.techspot.com/news/103663-new-big-brother-tools-make-easier-employers-catch.htmlOr, I mean, you could judge employees based on their actual work, but apparently that's too hard. :blobcatgooglytrash:

If you're ever annoyed that LoRa requires line-of-sight, just remember all you need is a sufficiently large hill or a really long stick.Though I guess really the only reason I'm saying that is to show off this really cool photo I took from a hill a few days ago, 27 miles (43 km) away from Chicago.

@stfn Exactly, the problem is not 'AI' in general or even LLMs themselves, the problem is how and why they're being marketed, used, exploited, and pushed.

The unfortunate reality of what is likely a large majority of #retrocomputing communities being vacuumed up by Facebook Groups is honestly a little depressing :blobcat_thisisfine:

Wireless keyboards are great for travel, but why do so many people just buy them to "make their desk setup look clean"? I understand using a wireless mouse at a desktop because it moves, but a keyboard? :ablobcatcoffee:

:ablobcatattentionreverse: Big question since https://diode.zone is looking to shut down sometime in the near-ish future:Which PeerTube instance should I upload my videos to going forward?:blobcatthink: I’m liking the first two options a bit more because they seem to fit my style of content better, but I’m not 100% sure, so this is the place to tell me what you all think. If there are any specific concerns, things I should know about, or other good options, let me know in the replies :)

@gudenau Some stuff to look into if you want closed back headphones (in the order I would probably buy them):Beyerdynamic DT 770 PROSony MDR-7506Sennheiser HD 280 PROAKG K361I recommend using a review site like https://www.soundguys.com for more info before buying.Edit: Just letting you know that you're looking for a unicorn and will likely have to compromise *something* at the $100 price point.
