       so i can actually plug these into most things around home, and they 'work'. the sound is loud enough, but not particularly impressive.i *think* this makes sense within my mental model of impedances and such. iiuc, the low voltage output of a typical headphone driver means the headphones won't be using their full... range? i don't know the right word there.
