The Pleroma is way too big.Also, changing software to some thing more manageable and that I can actually repair when needed. I can read C/Python/Go, I know fuck all about erlang/elixir.

The code is simple to edit, it’s easy to build, and it has better support for mastodon api than snac2 so I can use existing software.Pleroma and Mastodon are overkill for a five user instance and a nightmare to try and read or track down bugs.If the only other software option is developed by hugbox people, don’t really care. You don’t have to subscribe to blocklist’s to use it.

Agree. I compiled it. Super easy. Well written.API is barely there and I’m not looking to take on a pet project of writing my own Fediverse software on someone else’s the frame.If I have to pick the software to use, it’s going to be something directionally accurate with a couple developers, many users, and written in a language where I have enough familiarity to fix the bugs without feeling like I need to build all the features I need.

@istvan @istvan @dcc @meso my plan is to fork snac2 at some point and replace a lot of the helper functions with calls to function from the radare2 r_util api and libjson. Some parts of snac2 just look scary to me. Though i like the project.
