It's ok to say you are disabled. Capitalist society often says that if you can walk and talk you must work and be subjected to mistreatment by employers and coworkersBut the thing is that disability doesn't always look like wheelchairs and issues speaking. Blindness or any other physically obvious thing. You can look completely "normal" but still be disabled. People must understand that if you are having trouble doing things and your immune system is really bad especially after a covid infection or infection of other viruses pre covid, you are disabled. It's ok to say that. I love you 💚

OMG! STOP BEING A GOD DAMN FUCK VICTIM! Don't celebrate your fucking made up disabilities. In my day (get off my lawn) people didn't draw attention to their disabilities and just wanted to be fucking normal.You don't have a COVID disability, you have a vaccine injury and you need to stop being in denial about it.God I hate this timeline.

@smollestbunny I had a personal experience I feel was relevant, here, this week. I'm disabled, due to mental health reasons, and I constantly experience impostor syndrome over it - despite knowing, rationally, this is the case, emotionally, it is difficult to accept. Anyways, I had surgery this week, and found myself totally unable to physically accomplish things; and what I found was that, when physically disabled, I made the same criticisms of myself I always make for mental

@smollestbunny health reasons - "you're just making it up for attention" "you're just being weak. You should be able to do this" "you're making a big deal over nothing because you're lazy". The fact that I was still making these criticisms of myself, involuntarily, while physically incapable of doing these things ended up feeling kind of self-affirming with regards to my disability status due to mental health.

@fcktheworld587 this is very relatable. I was where you are now probably about 10 years ago. I was disabled for a multitude of reasons but I didn't want to say disabled and I didn't know how disabled I was. And the stigma of being called disabled when you aren't in a wheelchair or obviously disabled like what people expect a disabled person to be, but over the last couple of years I have really leaned into it and decided I'm no longer going to pretend I'm not disabled when I am. You will be ok. You are disabled, and it's ok to say you are disabled. around 25 percent of people in any population are disabled.Sending love

So you're Canadian?My mom was in constant pain for over a decade, and couldn't walk from her MS. Euthanasia isn't legal in my part of America. I'm not sure how I fell about it honestly, but my mom never faced genocide. The state made sure she lived to the very end.
