Replace your drive belts. They're about to snap. If you pop the hood and look at the belts you can probably see them physically warping. The squealing can happen on new belts too if they're over/under tightened.

🤷 That's just what it sounds like to me. I don't know what else would cause that sequel. It sounds like a belt, and burning clutch is what a belt smells like right before they snap.I try not to go to shops, unless it's something really difficult like the timing belt. I've had dealerships completely fuck up simple things like drive belts. They're so easy to do I might as well do it myself and do it right.

If it snaps you'll likely be stranded and need a tow truck. You might lose power steering. If it's the belt that drives the alternator, you can still drive for 10~15 minutes until the battery drains out, and then the car will no longer be able to power itself (run the sparkplugs, fuel pump and what-not).If it's a belt that goes to the water pump but not the alternator, the car could overheat. But you'll see the little temp gauge go up and the light turn on before that becomes an issue.

Yea timing belts should be done around 100,000. If they snap, on most cars you'll bend valves and need an engine tear-down to check for damage. But timing belts also don't sequel. If they start slipping, you're already fucked. If you have a timing chain, they never need to be changed.Drive belts are the ones you see clearly outside on the engine block. Timing belts/chains are internal and go from the engine crank to the cams/valves.

Yea, sorry I forgot my units. 😋 I had mine done at 130k miles. Check your owners manual. Drive belts are typically replaced at like 30k~50k miles.

That sucks ass. I've only had their home theater receivers. I only learned about their hi-fi amps recently. They released a 2-channel power amp last year. It's not too expensive by hi-fi standards, but still up there.I have a Willsenton R8 tube amp, but I sorta used it for everything and tubes/repair can get expensive. So I'm working on building out a setup with a Douk Audio speaker/amplifier switch so I can easily switch between two amps, and then only turn on the tube amp when I really want to crank some music.

I ended up ordering the one in the picture off of Reverb. The listing didn't say it had been serviced or had photos of the case opened up. I'm a bit weary of vintage stuff like this, but it's less than half the price of the new Onkyo M-80.I'll test it to make sure it works, but after that I'm going to open it up and make sure there's no corrosion and no leaky caps. The glue on these can get conductive if it gets corroded by leaky caps, so you have to clean it really well after you de-solder them.Hopefully it's been in use and not in storage, which can keep caps from breaking. If not, well, it will be my first recapping project. 😅I'll be using this Douk to switch between amps, and a Douk D5 as the pre-amp from my DAC to both amps. The switch has good reviews, but there is nothing on the D5, so hopefully it doesn't suck.

I feel like this article is very misleading. It has someone from 2008, way before the massive influx around ~2015 and very different from that later group of economic migrants. The Psychobabble has a really good look at the situation from people who actually live in Norway and Sweden: https://hannahspier.substack.com/p/scamdinavia-d33The article makes a lot of appeals to emotion (it's important and relevant to note it was written by a woman). A lot of the policies the article says Sweden is implementing seem more than reasonable. The woman at the start of the article is significantly different than later economic migrants, and her situation should be separate if she's had children who've truly assimilated into the culture. But then that begs the question, if she's been there since 2008, why hasn't she applied for citizenship? Same for the family at the end of the article. They are different than the new influx of migrants, and the article tries to group them all together. They're not though. What's happening to the much older migrants is tragic, but what's happening to the newer batch is practical. I'm curious if you talked to these people, if they'd separate themselves entirely from the new migrants. Once again ... why did they not apply for citizenship before the 2015 influx?

Today someone will say that's AI. I remember. I remember seeing this when it came out, the girl in Melbourne who was put in a choke hold for not wearing a mask, the people locked in hotel rooms in Brisbane for weeks .. I remember May 1st, when the mask mandate came to Chicago, and I drove to Indiana for nearly a year for groceries and never once wore a fucking mask. It was dead silent in that city for months, and then I watched the rioters burn down police cruisers and the trains stop because someone died of a fentanyl overdose. I still see the fucking faded 6-foot apart stickers in abandoned soccer fields. They're like a Joe Camel poster, worn and faded, a reminder of an era everyone has already forgotten.

2020 was a psychological operation. It was the largest psychological operation of all known human history. It was also largely successful. Some countries had 60% ~ 90% of people take the least tested drug ever developed. There still many people who think it was a completely real thing that happened and not mass hysteria.
