       Seeing some of the disparaging remarks on Apple's Vision Pro and honestly... it's just so predictable.Yeah they look goofy. Yeah there's a load of edge case problems. Yup they're expensive AF.That's not necessarily the point though. I can walk into almost any high street and point you out a bunch of stuff in stores that ticks all those boxes.Being able to speak to some one remotely, with a level of 3D presence and depth though? That looks like part of the future I wouldn't mind having

       But I mean c'mon... if we're going to have mobile computing go down this route (and well, it is...), do you  want the consumer version of what Apple announced today, with a bit more evolution, or... Meta's meta-verse?

       @davidgarywood tbh, I’d rather computing didn’t go down this path, at least not as hard as Apple is imagining here.They stressed you don’t have to leave your house to do something (travel, watch a movie, talk to people in 3D space) so many times.There’s legit reasons to want each of those things in VR, but it feels like their vision (hah) inserts itself in between people, literally and physically, and I don’t like it.
