@marcan thanks for being transparent about things like this! It’s an interesting window into a branch of open source I haven’t interacted with much.Also, I really appreciate your perseverance in making Linux work better for everyone (at least anyone who will have your patches 🙃), as someone who’s planning to switch from a mac to a Iinux laptop soon-ish.

@mcc ooh!I once had a similar idea that involved Ikaruga mechanics (i.e. there were two colors of enemy and you could change colors and bounce back shots of the same color you were), but I never got past a very rough prototype. Still wonder if there’s something to that…

I had planned to do #adventofcode2023 in Erlang, but setting up the corresponding emacs mode with my shiny new immutable Fedora Silverblue install turned out to be an annoying chore.So instead, I'm breaking my run of doing AoC in functional languages and going with C#.I liked C# when I last wrote it, many years ago.

@mcc regular reminder that many posts hosted at Forbes are written by „contributors“ of dubious quality (it’s apparently pretty easy to become one if you’re determined to). I’ve personally decided to assign Forbes link slightly less credibility than Medium ones.
