       I have a #nextcloud instance that I've been janitor for, for the last 4ish years. Most of that time, the workflow has been "keep it online, we'll clean it up later"Last week I went to add #Collabora CODE support to it. Yeah.... nah. We're doing a new VM for this I think. It's all tape and glue under there.

       @lucas I’m impressed. I can’t go 6 months without losing all my Nextcloud data because I’ve got encrypted storage turned on and some upgrade/ update breaks things to the point where I need to reinstall. Nextcloud is what prompted me to buy a Synology NAS. I got tired of losing my data.

       @gme haha we're the opposite, All our important data lives on ZFS now, three different synology devices have resulted in us restoring from backups, two at exactly the same time!I recommend disabling encrypted files for your file shares, the OS needs to decrypt it to hand it off to the fileshare app, whatever that is, and that's going to have a higher chance of being attacked than someone breaking into your location and stealing your drives!
