Republicans in Wisconsin are acknowledging that the state has now shifted leftward, and abortion has a lot to do with that. Many Wisconsinites now understand that Republicans don't have their best interests in mind. #RepublicanLies https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/05/30/gop-wisconsin-abortion-00099006

@KimPerales Proof that Abortion and Guns are the winners for Democrats, not the economy like the media is pushing.

@KimPerales I'd like to think this is true, but Jill Karofsky also won her seat by almost 11 points in 2020, so it's not really "numbers nobody has ever seen." And Wisconsin also somehow re-elected Ron Johnson just last November.

@erikalyn There's a little more hope now, but you're correct, we won't know for certain until 2024.

@KimPerales There was a time in politics when candidates tried to present policies that would appeal to the population. If they didn't win on those policies, it was a back to the drawing board to see what would appeal better. Now the GOP isn't interested in policy that appeals to the population. They have their agenda, and politics to them is just spin to get into office and continue imposing their policies that are disconnected from citizen wants/needs.
