I don't want to know what I can do to reduce my estimated 0.00000005 percent of the world's annual greenhouse gas emissions. I want to know what Big Oil is going to do to phase out the 73 percent of GHC emissions that they empower — which was 37,190,000,000 metric tons of CO2 in 2021. Of course, the fossil fuel industry would rather send me nosing into the compost in my backyard, than sniffing under the closed doors of political dealmaking that props up the hegemony of the fossil fuel economy.

@GreenFire @aka_quant_noir @kim_harding oh Lee...while I agree with #KeepItInTheGround and support the idea...YEARS of all my individuals efforts are made close to moot by my local Air Force base's emissions in about a week of their useless flying exercises. If that's not convincing enough, add in all the other useless stuff YOUR tax dollars are spent on... like the DAILY LE helicopter flyovers, coming to a neighborhood near you, soon.These absolutely stupid LE flyovers have encroached upon what used to be considered middle class (and so off limits) neighborhoods. Probably because they are convinced people growing their own veggies are both poor and terrorists.

@CJPaloma @aka_quant_noir @kim_harding Actually, any carbon pollution that an individual does not emit is not made moot by someone else's since every gram of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere matters nowadays.Yes, the military will take longer to decarbonize than it will take us ordinary people which is why it's even more crucial for those of us that can to do it as fast as possible.
