@supernovae I concur with this response. Curious to see the results not going that way. This poll was inspired by another on Calckey where over a hundred voted for blocking hypothetical Meta server(s).perhaps many come to the fediverse explicitly to avoid that company. I am not a particular fan by any means but would not like to see mass defederation.This poll is honestly a not subtle attempt to engage with those who seem to feel differently…

@Jdreben @supernovae You're probably familiar with capitalism being called amoral, IE not immoral but ROI is a higher priority. Well. #meta, or, more specifically: it's leadership, has really shown us how much overlap there is in the venn diagram between amorality and immorality. Isn't there a list somewhere of all their misdeeds? I couldn't tolerate any more after their 2010 fckup they called "instant personalization", but that was Valdez compared to other Deepwater Horizons.

@Jdreben @supernovae nobody likes #meta. Somehow, people still use it. I can't understand. I am here because I believe FLOSS has a solid moral value system, and so I feel good about contributing. For moral reasons, we must draw a line somewhere. Where to draw the line? I don't know, but let's talk about all the ways they might try to take over the #fediverse. Because you know they're talking about it.

@travisfw @Jdreben Facebook has 2.9 billion users. More than half the known humans on the internet. If we can give them a smooth transition to the fediverse, that’s what i’ll do.They have no means to take things over -it’s not like our small niche is going to stop doing what they do and join facebook again.
