When you really feel like slumming, spending time with Tubi TV (always free) is always recommended. Their video catalog is absolutely stunning, with thousands of old B->F movies many of which you probably never knew existed. Hell, I'm pretty good at this, and I've never seen or even heard of a lot of stuff on there. Wow.

@laurenI grew up with the local stations doing a "Creature Feature" on Saturdays. I'll bet that I could recreate that experience with Tubi - probably we could do our own MST3K, as well.

@oldhaapi Yep, I've often compared Tubi with late night TV on local channels here in L.A. many years ago. That's probably why I don't even mind the ads on Tubi as much as I usually hate ads -- it's pretty much the same experience. Minus the used car ads. That was pretty much entertainment for me. My girlfriend would come over and we'd lay on the bed and watch those old B movies for a few hours ... and then, well, whatever. I've basically always been a boring guy.

@laurenWe only had reception from three different stations. As an early teen, I remember one did a Saturday afternoon creature feature - I got the TV to myself. Commercials included Andre Baruch selling commemorative plates for some reason.

@oldhaapi In L.A. of course we had (and still have) the full load of channels. But the sci-fi and horror stuff was on the non-network channels: KTLA-5, KHJ-9, KTTV-11, and KCOP-13.
