       @ChasingWaterfalls I hope Tennessee didn’t hurt us too much by making laws about drag for adults.  Now progressives can make “us” (because I guess there are only two sides to anything in public discourse) look foolish because banning drag within a certain number of feet of a church or public park is dumb.This is where principled voices are so important.  Bring on the people who oppose bans on drag for adults and also support other forms of free speech, without pretending that adults presenting sexual material to children has anything to do with free speech.

       @Cousin_Isobel @ChasingWaterfalls Progressives would call us foolish and assholes/nazi/bigots no matter what we do or say. It' s their MO, it doesn' t matter how reasonable or not we are. They do it when we speak about rapists in women' s prisons, when we speak of mutilation of children, freedom of speech, or anything else.This is not going to hurt our reputation any more than anything else they use to paint us as the villain. They really don' t need a reason, just the fact that people saying to them exist.

       @Omina_Sentenziosa @ChasingWaterfalls I mostly agree, but I have fence-sitting friends (moderates who haven’t looked into this deeply), and when they hear about anything from “our” side that goes too far, the next thing you know, they are standing with progressives.I do think we need to ignore and move past progressive hyperbole;  I just don’t like it when they have even a small good point.

       @Cousin_Isobel @ChasingWaterfalls I' ll say, if these people think that banning drag shows near a church is more severe and unreasonable than double mastectomies on 14 years old girls, then I don' t think they were moderate or fence-sitting to begin with.
