@jonhicks Well, you have a list with icons, then a list item with an icon but also two more icons which are buttons and then you have a carousel that does the scrolly-scroll and then you have a button and then you have a dropdown and another list of stuff with a scrollbar.Simples.If you want to cram more shit into your product the carousel with the scrolly-scroll is key.

@jonhicks Today I got reminded that #Spotify :spotify: used to have its own app platform.Wild times. Better times?https://www.radiosurvivor.com/2013/12/dropping-by-soundrop-spotifys-chat-room-feature/

@jonhicks yeah, there was a whole app platform baked into the app; it was actually kinda cool. You could download a Last.fm app and get all your listening stats visualised in real time. You could download a Rolling Stone app (if that was your thing) and get reviews of albums and shows for your fave artists. You could do crazy shit like the Soundrop app which let you create an "office radio" and all your colleagues could listen to the same music.

@jonhicks I guess from a development side, it was a nightmare to manage. But also, from a business POV, I guess they felt they were giving too much away to third parties.I think it lasted from about 2011 - 2015.
