Okay before I tear my hair out, can someone more versed in #Linux than me tell me why a device that was showing up just fine at ttyUSB1, and still does so on another Linux machine (so the device and the cable are fine), would stop doing so the next day.

@lori The palm serial devices can definitely be wonky sometimes. On occasion mine will show up as USB2/3 and I have no idea why. I'll hit it again and it'll be back to USB1. At one point I had figured out a udev rule that made sure it always showed up the same. I'll have to see if I can find that again.

@kelbot if you can that'd be great because my PC just doesn't wanna see it anymore and I have no idea why. But my mini laptop sees it just fine (so I'm gonna set stuff up on there lol)

@lori I will say also that on occasion after doing a system update I have had weird issues like that where devices and even usb drives that just would not show up until I rebooted. If you've done any package updates recently and haven't rebooted since it's probably worth a shot.
