@neil I suppose that’s the reality of the FTTP rollout nearing completion by that date. At least they’re *planning* for it, which is more than can be said for a lot of the huge layoffs we’ve seen.

@neil what I don’t understand is why they apparently aren’t framing these announced plans as such. They simply won’t need as many people once the network is built. That is a much better basis than “our stock didn’t perform as well as we hoped this quarter and we just realised we anti-competitively overhired a bunch of developers we don’t have work for, so we’re doing this to make the stock market happy”

@neil I also imagine they’re banking on fault volumes being significantly lower overall with people moving on to brand new FTTP plant.
