       @ParadeGrotesque , it's been time ever since cryptocurrencies first launched. Blockchain is one of the best examples of a solution in search of a problem. All they've been good for is illegal transactions and various kinds of fraud.

       @ParadeGrotesque , they will as long as they can. Modern scams have essentially zero up-front cost. You broadcast spam as widely as possible, then reel in any suckers that respond.That's why scam messages are so obvious. Unlike the initial broadcast, the reeling-in phase is labor intensive. Making the initial message implausible results in only the most gullible people responding, meaning that you'll waste less time on people who realize they're being scammed before they send you money.
