@comrade_lecter I just find them dangerous.Would rather create distance before it becomes a problem.I thought this a long time ago about chronic, their anarchist arc gave me hope but, it's flimsy imo. It's just time to step back.Hate doesn't describe my position on them but, I can definitely understand why others feel that way.

I think people need to start actually saying what and when Iris did. Instead of vague "oh they did horrible things". If you're so passionate about it, you're supposed to be able to have concrete accusations with non misinterpreted words.

@comrade_lecter I agree with a lot of what Iris says. There are some things I don't agree with.I find annoying their propensity to randomly block people for no apparent reason. I have social anxiety, and that affected me the first few times it happened. But now it's just become a meme. Ope, Iris blocked me again. Wonder what I did this time, lol.

@comrade_lecter Well since everyone is giving their insight, I might as well jump in too :) I’ve been blocked by almost all of their accounts *however* that by itself is not the reason I have a grudge. Firstly being told to “Oh my god, shut the fuck up.” Such a pleasant thing, everybody wants to hear :) after using an emoticon.Being called an “abuse apologist” and “that people don’t like me cause I quote unquote don’t respect boundaries…” after a petty argument over emojis….is definitely my reason. Before I get “educated”, yes I know my usage of emojis wasn’t at the most appropriate of times. I know it was a serious discussion. I know that I should’ve “fixed” not using emojis as much.Though I may even get the response, “that was a valid way for them to react” or “The reaction was appropriate” to which..l 🤷♀️ yeah right. I’m not gonna be disrespectful though, LOTS of people on here HAVE had pleasant experiences with them. And I respect that. Lots of people on here will defend them at a drop of the hat, and I respect that loyalty they have. I respect that lots of people have found friendship with them. Kudos. I respect that they get a lot of work done. All positive things!

@buttonchovi you see, this is kinda my problem. I asked what Iris did wrong. I get answers about their rudeness and blocking habits. Meanwhile they're being accused of abusing people without any evidence. I have no doubts they have made mean comments to multiple people. And blocked multiple people too. And if not completely disproportionate response to this, if not a desire to cast them as an evil dangerous abusive person, I would not be defending them like this either. I have a feeling that a lot of people had petty unpleasant experiences with them, and they feel vindicated when someone else starts shit talking them, and want to believe the worst without evidence.

@comrade_lecter (I called them an abuse apologist because of an unrelated toot where they mocked anti-abuse activism and fed into the moral panic about false accusations/hysteria/overreaction. It was triggering as hell but people aligning with dominant ideologies always get to play victim for their genuinely shit behavior while I always get hypercriticized for mild bs that is a product of months/years of unchecked microaggressions/harm and increasing discomfort and stress and fear and get painted as the villain. Fuck that.)
