Got sent home because there's severe weather on the way, and this guy said "it's not even raining" so I'm here to tell you how to deal with severe weather in the form of storms, high winds, and hail and tornadoes. 1. Try not to be outside or on the road when it's happening. 2. Stay hooked on checking the weather conditions, things change fast. (an NOAA weather radio is a great purchase) 3. Charge up your phones, pack a go bag, get your shoes on and hide when they tell you to. 4. Breathe.

Re: the go-bagAnything you will need for 3-4 days after you get out of the place you're sheltering from the storm in. Power may be out a while so bring your meds, your identification, your pet registration, etc. If you end up sleeping in a church for a few days you'll need all that. Do not ever try to out run a tornado. That's bananas dangerous and you're likely to get hurt.
