       When you&#39;re younger, you look forward to growing up and gaining respect. I remember the first time being called &quot;Sir&quot;. Then you get to a certain age, and it becomes a bit depressing.Nice young lad yesterday up the garden centre obviously thought I was about to keel over any minute. He put three bags of stones on my trolley and then:&quot;Would you like me to push that for you?&quot;&quot;Would you like me to load those in your car for you?&quot;I struggled on my own because I still have a bit of pride. 😉 🤣

       @dick_turpin Ah, that&#39;s his job. They were asking me and my late partner similar questions 20 years ago when i also turned them down!One thing that made me ponder though: if you needed their help loading it into the car, how were they expecting you to get it back out again once you&#39;d got home? Or is that the gardening boy&#39;s job?

       @greenjimll About ten years ago, I had a brain fart and bought this huge statue about five feet tall. It took two of us to get it in the car. Obviously, when I got home, we were screwed, and I had to get my neighbour to help me.The next morning I woke up, looked out the window and shit myself: &quot;Who the fook is that in the garden!&quot; Of course, the statue went back in the afternoon.

       @greenjimll LOLOne habit I had drummed into me is: Once a sale is completed, forget about it.They say a good salesperson is only as good as their last sale, but the problem with that is people will cling to it like a life buoy. A former boss, who I hated and would piss on his grave if I knew where it was, did, I grudgingly admit,  pass on a couple of good mantras. One was: &quot;When someone bangs on about a past success, respond with. That was yesterday; what do you intend to do today?&quot;
