       Moderator #feditips for today - this is one I repeat occasionally.You are able to Hide Boosts from those you follow so they don't show in your Home timeline.This is useful when you have an interesting follow whose posts you enjoy, but you're not necessarily on the same wavelength with their other interests.Open their profile, click on the Menu (three vertical dots) and select Hide Boosts.This can be particularly useful during sports playoffs and political campaigns! 😄

       I boost things for two main reasons. One, it's something really interesting or engaging (admittedly, sometimes because it's negative/enraging) that I want to share with like-minded followers. Two, it's a newer or smaller, or friendly account that could stand to build some engagement.Sometimes the volume from a community admin doing this can get annoying. Please apply the Hide Boosts switch liberally!
