On Tuesday, I flew back to Ohio. Wednesday, I returned with this little guy. Meet Beau, the latest addition to the Bowman family. 9 weeks old, golden retriever. All fluff and love. Can melt any human he sees on sight. #dogsofmastodon

Beau at 3 months. Growing quickly. Total trouble-maker. Yesterday he discovered hanging toilet paper rolls, and emptied a full roll with two separate pulls.

Golden Retriever puppies have evolved to be so cute, because otherwise they would never survive the wrath of their owners for all the stupid things they do.Every person who ever told us Goldies are the smartest dogs are all part of a concerted marketing effort to deceive and conceal the truth. This is Beau at just over 5 months. Guilty as charged, all counts.

@stop my child has created multiple pitch decks for a second dog, specifically a golden retriever and this is the biggest argument against. But it’s not a very good one.

@gretared OMG, Gretchen, don’t fall for it! We were a perfectly happy family with our first dog (mixed breed, 7 years old now), who is a true angel, and so so easy to care for. Never takes something that isn’t his. Can be home alone for hours, and totally trusted.Then we destroyed our peace and care-free style of home loving by adopting Beau. F-, would not do again. Though we will keep him. 🤣
