       My upbringing familiarized me well with belligerent idiots on the far right, but belligerent idiots on the far left are not something my brain really knows how to deal with. They’re the good guys! But wait, they’re assholes! They’re the good guy assholes! Does not compute.

       The same morals that would lead me to punch a Nazi would lead me to punch a Stalinist. I’m opposed to Putin’s war in Ukraine on the same grounds that I was opposed to Bush’s in Iraq. But for a certain set of Leftists, it doesn’t seem to be about moral reasoning so much as whether you’re on Team Left or Right. Any excess is justifiable, provided it’s for the cause. Any facts that cause cognitive dissonance can be explained away as “Western propaganda,” just like the Trumpers do with “fake news.”

       So I really need to decide where I’m going to draw the line with these people. I’ve had good times with Commies on here, and it’s ok that we disagree about certain things, but I’m only willing to put up with so much negativity from people.
