@davidslifka @spreadmastodon @fediversenews Super important quote. We often forget (myself included) that dev time is not real time. When we cry out for a feature it's not like they have a magic wand and can simply whip it up in 48 hrs. Acknowledging the demand for these features is an awesome first step.

@davidslifka @spreadmastodon @fediversenews Many Matrix clients have matrix.org chosen as the default server, so many users are not going to change it, so most of them use matrix.org. I guess over 50%. In email world, Gmail is the default server. Everything spins around Gmail. Are you going to do the same with fediverse? Please stop. Instead, keep educating about decentralization, federation, interoperability and diversity of platforms and clients.

If that happens, Mastodon Social would be just another social network to migrate/export your data out, giving chance to other non-Gargron instances, or pleroma, misskey, even Mastodon forks, or other ActivityPub software to shine. Apparently quote-posts were against the principles of Mastodon (until they weren't) but making decisions about the development in secret and having an entire ticketing system hidden from public isn't against 'the principles'. 🤦♂️And their github issues log seems to be almost completely ignored, even though it's just 35 tickets/week, perfectly manageable.
