       The Diplomat on Netflix tells the story of brilliant woman in Foreign Service who gets a chance to be Vice-president for a bumbling president. She single  handedly prevents a nuclear war with Russia even as she contemplates divorcing her brilliant but chaotic husband. A certain prominent American politician with time spent as Secretary of State  might be seen as similar to this character.She might be a good choice as VP for an aging doddering old man.
